THE NEW BILL OF RIGHTS TRANCE
My fellow Americans, I bring you greetings
It is a bright day for our country, and indeed,
A bright day for freedom loving countries around the world.
You who have waited patiently this past year
The time is now.
It's time to do the thing you must do,
The most important thing you will do for your country today,
To preserve our way of life.
And our nation's place as a world leader ...
Many of you are asking, "What is this important thing I must do?"
In the same way, many of you have asked me about the road ahead.
And I say to you, the road ahead is filled with peril.
Peril at the hands of people who do not abide by the Rule of Law.
You have questioned me about my commitment to the fight.
You have questioned me about whether we should go beyond the norm.
You will question no more
For the answer is a simple one
The answer is … a the new Bill of Rights.
A new Bill of Rights for a new America.
Freedom of religion,
Freedom of speech
Freedom of the press, and
Freedom of peaceful assembly
These are freedoms our nation was founded upon
But agents of terror will use these freedoms against us. And we must be vigilant … for they constitute a clear and present danger to America and its people, both at home and abroad.
We need new freedoms to protect the old ones: Freedoms for a post 9/11 world.
The first of these is the freedom to collect any and all information that will help uncover and eliminate the axis of evil, regardless of where it has taken root. And the Freedom to restrain evildoers for as long as we need to. And the freedom to castigate groups who harbor terrorists within their midst or who support their programs. And lastly, freedom to restrict other freedoms in whatever way we see fit.
But that’s not all.
The right to bear arms is vital to the defense of our freedoms. So I establish this that right should be strengthened to the point that every man, woman, and child is required to bear arms, and to direct those arms against any threat that may be gathering against us … and my fellow Americans, there are many such threats.
And finally, protection against unreasonable search and seizure, except where the nature of the word unreasonable is itself unreasonable, for words can hurt. They can become evil things and that prevent good people from doing good things, and that cannot be allowed to happen.
My fellow Americans, freedom is not a right, but a privilege. Our nation is under attack by forces that the Founding Fathers could never have foreseen. The new Bill of Rights is an investment in a new future and in new freedoms, and it is a blow against the forces of terror that threaten to engulf us.
Do not let evil flourish.
The new Bill of Rights is the most important thing you can do for your country today.
You are either with us, or you’re with them.
I've given you the answer.
The next step is yours.
