hey Mike! Great to hear from ya! I am here about as often you it seems by your message board. Yours is the first communication i have had with anyone in months. I guess you get out what you put in...and i don't invest any time here anymore. I am at my www.soundclick.com/members/pinedog site daily and have alot of friends there. Unlike you, i never play out... so, sadly, SC is the extent of my social life. I am home FT now working here on the homestead...go days on end without even leaving my little cabin in the woods. I just finished my 3rd album though and it includes "Three Ships". It's called "Genesee" and i would be happy to send you a copy when they come in (another week or so) It's all instrumental and along the "3 Ships" line (soundscapes)
Not sure if i can find your addy so if you want a copy just let me know. I'll probably only sell a couple so i have to get $100 apiece :-))
Hope it's all good for you and the Jammers. Busy summer gig-wise?
Happy 4th my friend...and thanks for stoppin' by. Still listen to your cd's often.

your friend & fan....... Pine

Hi Mike...Thanks for stoppin' by my neglected page. I see your message was dated the day after my hard drive crashed :-( Took two weeks to get back on line and and i'm still trying to reload programs and deal with all the lost links and stuff. What a mess.
It sure was one hell of a cold and snowy winter here...kinda like i remember them being when i was a kid in the 50's. We made her though...and i got some good time in up in my studio. Completed a long in the works blues/rock album. I'll be uploading a new tune every other week, so if ya think of it and ya have time, stop by and see what ya think. Gotta get over and hear your new tunes. Take care man...Pine

Thanks for the comment, Mike, and congratulations on the nominations. I'm really liking "Ma Jolie" and "Sometimes You Don't Get It". Great stuff. I agree, you kind of remind me of "New Riders..." with a touch of JD Souther's Eagles, with some excellent tunes. I like groups that are difficult to categorize.

Hi Mike...Just had the good fortune to run across Sunset Reds over on The Last Wild Herd station and was SO impressed. Man you guys have some kinda chemistry. That song has so much happening..the harmonies, the varied instrumentation, the lyrical content....it's all wrapped up in this easy goin' down tune that just swirls around ya like incense. Great job !

J. Patrick Sharpe

1/29/2008 7:08:17 PM

Thanks for listening to my songs. I appreciate it. You can bet I'll be coming back to your page often and looking for more!! You were asking about the digitial download-- IAC calls it a DMD. It is basically like a digital version of a DMD or album. The idea is that you can download the whole package-- lyrics, credits, liner notes-- to get the full music experience rather than just simply streaming or downloading a song. The music itself is just like downloading an mp3.

J. Patrick Sharpe

1/27/2008 8:43:04 AM

Two Silo Complex

1/11/2008 7:25:24 PM

Hey Mike,
Glad to hear you got the CD and are enjoying it. These were the two tracks done with a full band in a pro studio and mastered.
The front cover is a schematic of a nuclear silo. Actually its Two Silos ... get it... wink..wink.

The inside cover with the credits is a thermal guage. The up and down pattern of the red line is for the dramatic changes in tempo that will be in the full version.

The cd is pressed with an image of planet Mercury.

The back cover is another thermal guage with the planet Mercury. The planet is show as rising as the thermal guage is climbing...Mercury Rising.
Get it...wink... wink.

Well that was my feeble attempt at being clever. People that have seen it seem to like the design and love the thermal printed cd.

I had this done at www.kunaki.com You can create the album for free with the software on the site they ship anywhere in the US. It costs $1.20 per cd to press with retail pack shrink wrap and UPC bar code. They also can ship orders taken from cd-baby. The best part is there is no minimum order. You want 20 to sell at your next gig? Just fill out the order they ship it to you and off you go. So you are not stuck with hundreds of cd's. You can upload more than one design and also sell directly from the site that will accept credit card orders. I highly recommed them.

If you have any friends that might like a copy I sell this for $5 a copy. This covers shipping and pressing costs.

I gave a copy of your CD to my sister and dad. My sister really liked it don't think my dad has listened yet. I will have order some more to give them the real version.

Thank you for your support,
I really enjoy both Rivolver and Time has come.
Cheers,
TSC
Ken

Hi Mike & Co.....I just read your comments on my song Three Ships. You are the first person that i know of that understood the full intention of the song. It was indeed a three act play. Thank you for your intuitive sensitivity and your wonderful de_scription. BTW, your band is awesome...new to me...just loved what i have heard so far. Linking to you guys for sure. Hi there Mike, thanks a bunch for sending along the cd....really look forward to hearing it. Hope you had good time over the holidays. Over here in Italy New Years is probably less of a drinking holiday and more about eating together with friends and then dancing till dawn. My wife and I took it pretty low-key this year. If you give me an address I'll send you a CD with some of my stuff. Cheers!
