Q&A, introduction and fun!
I'm here to meet, hang out and chat with you regular music lovers! I loath these opening introductions only because it feels a little self indulging for me at the onset... that being said, would please like to hear from you guys 1st...what brings you here, what projects you're working on, music you love, what positive things life is opening up and offering you! -jim ARS

Welcome to the pipeline! I heard your music, very nice work. Do you do originals too?

I have several musical projects here. One of my bands The Coming Of Age broke up about a month ago. Negative Tendencies is back in full throttle though, we just released a song and a new one is coming in a few days.

I spent a lot of time in Lancaster PA, did some work there and also would go to the Park City Mall (don't know if that's still around). Do you know Mickey Dean? He owns a studio there. I don't get along well with him but that's what i thought of when I saw your page.

Feel free to chime in on the various discussions, this is one of the few sites left that actually has a community.

Hello FT, I will be happy to listen! I hate band break ups never fun...Yes I do write original music and hope to post them here. I was excited about the idea I had of redoing these couple Beatles tunes so I posted them because they were just recorded. A metal version of Eleanor Rigby? lol...ok so I don't know Mickey but Park City is a huge mall now like the Vatican City.

I opened the studio to record our band Third Stream but, then started to get calls from other local musicians asking to record them too so Abbeyville Road was born.

FYI Abbeyville Road is our street name address so no intent here to steal the name.

Pleased to chat with you FT please stay in touch!

Hi Mariah!!!

So happy to see you here at IMP and a very warm welcome form Omaha, Nebraska! LOVE your cover of Eleanor Rigby; one of my fave Beatle songs! I just went over to Intergalactic aka IFC aka the MonaLisa Twins Facebook fan club site and posted it over there!

I am fairly new to IMP also, and will tell you a bit about how and why later. (Have to leave for part-time job in 45 minutes.) I am not an artist here, but a fan. I have one station here, but want to build a station empire. All my stations will begin with the word GROOVY and you just gave me an idea for one called "Groovy Beatles Covers."

The Beatles are my #2 All-Time Band right behind my #1 The Moody Blues. Do you cover them also? You will soon meet someone who has The Beatles as his #1. His name is Christomir Rackov aka Itso from Bulgaria and I have summoned him over here.

So, so very happy to "meet" you here! Where are you from originally?

P.S. Mariah; they go NUTS over The Beatles over at IFC and will LOVE you! I expect a ton of replies to my post of your Eleanor Rigby cover. Of course you know Facebook; sometimes people don't "get" it! LOL!

2nd P.S. I just send your cover to Mona and Lisa via e-mail. Therefore, now you know about them and they also know about you!

Hi Jim!

So, it was you and not Mariah I "met" this morning; LOL! When you commented in my thread you didn't put your name. Then when I got here I was focusing on Mariah's pretty face and voice; so it's not my fault; but sorry anyway! IMP is my new online home where I will be now hanging out. So glad it is not FB based.

You are doing to opposite of me; just reactivating Facebook, while I will leave it for the 2nd time very soon! Which of the 4 blokes on your timeline photos is you?

Don't know what has happened to Itso. He works from home on his PC. He is either dead or kidnapped. If he was just swamped he usually takes a minute to respond on FB.

Cool that you and MLT already know about each other. The success of ORANGE will be a critical juncture in their career and many at IFC think so also. My work there is done and my work here is rolling on! If they respond to my e-mail (they do about half the time), I will let you know. They are super-busy right now with ORANGE and the pre-sale. Mike

I didn't realize Mariah's picture would be associated with Everything posted here so...I changed the picture to the studio. That hopefully will clear up any confusion in conversations! Thanks for the heads-up -jim

Good morning Jim!

Ha ha, I did not mind seeing Mariah's face on your photo; she is so pretty! Actually, the reason I asked you if she was from Europe, is that her face reminds me a little bit of DeMonicka aka Monicka Ferens, who is from Poland; my paternal fatherland. DeMonicka is one of the featured artists in my station, but more importantly the 2016 GOLDEN KAYAK WINNER - BEST FEMALE ARTIST & BEST SONG, POP. "21st Century" is the name of the song and I have 8 more of hers on my station. I look forward to building more stations and having Mariah's songs and other Abbeyville Road Studio's songs as well, That will mostly likely begin in October.

In addition, I thought I detected a very slight accent in Mariah's voice. Normally accents mostly disappear from one voice when one sings, as you well know. But nonetheless just a tiny bit can remain. In their videos when they were just starting their careers, I could detect a bit of German accent in the Austrian-born Mona and Lisa. Then when they spoke in their video Q&A's they really had an accent when they spoke English. I could have used closed-captioning, especially for the faster speaking Mona. I had to also try to read her lips.

Speaking of photos, obviously that is MLT and not me; LOL! It is one of the newer photos they posted on their revamped website. I received specific permission from Michaela, their step-mum and manager to use it here. Michaela is a lovely, lovely woman and the twins were very lucky that their father Rudi aka Rudolph married her when they were pretty young. Their birth mother Sylvia still lives in Austria, but she is not mentioned by them. So, I hope people don't see that photo and think they will talk to them; lol.

Have a great weekend Jim!
