When Michael K. and Shae reunited almost 11 months ago, they didn't anticipate a few impromptu studio sessions and a series of musical collaborations between friends would add up to a debut album. At the very least, Shae didn't anticipate that. Michael K. on the other hand – had a plan. A plan to let creativity take its course and allow the chemistry between them translate into music. Oh yeah, and to release an independent album on the newly founded Record Label, A.I.R.

The Albums producer and Artist, Michael K. is a professional recording engineer, a producer, arranger, writer, and an mc; "Whew". With a resume that credits work with Artists like Amel Larrieux and Lizz Fields to Big Daddy Kane, Fat Joe and Talib Kwali. With a broad range of musical influences, it's no surprise 4 Wings carries the feel of ol' school hip-hop fused with the contemporary sounds of Soul. Michael K. does a phenomenal job producing songs with details in the arrangement you don't hear on other hip-hop or Soul records.
On 4 Wings Michael K introduces long time friend and songwriter Shae. Having spent most of her musical career working behind the scenes as a background vocalist and songwriter, Shae has entered new territory on this album -- which features her vocals in the forefront. Albeit new to the performing stage, Shae is no amateur to the art of songwriting. Songs like "So Knew" and "Back of my mind" displays Shaes’ distinctive flair for emotional connection through her lyrics while songs like "Beautiful" flaunt the smooth production by Michael K. accompanied by Larry Phillips on Keys. and Shaes’ staccato flow, Her melodic style that she has perfected over the years.
The two have been consistently compared to Groove Theory. With songs like So Beautiful, and Neva Knew, the duo is destined to make a lasting impression on the music world.
