From Jazz to Reggae to
Jewish music, Pey Dalid encompasses all. A true World music band with seasoned musicians who have shared the stage with musical greats such as:
Johnny Russo, members of John Brown’s Body, Djug Django,
Lew Soloff (Blood, Sweat, and Tears), Walter White (The Lincoln Center Jazz
Orchestra), Paul Hanson (Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), I-Jo, Soulfarm, Moshav and Mattisyahu
to name a few. Noted as the band in which performer, Mattisyahu, came back to his tribal roots, Pey Dalid stands on stellar ground. Pey Dalid has played for crowds ranging from 50 to 30,000, appealing to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Pey Dalid has just recently released their new CD, ""Open Eyes"".


Pey Dalid jump started their tour behind the release at this years Matzah Bowl, Inaugural Tribal Music Fest"" @ Brooklyn Bowl, playing to an audience of over 500 on Xmas Eve.
They have traveled the world, performing throughout America, Canada, England and Israel.


Pey Dalid has appeared on television in America, Israel and Europe
including Charitable Telethons and MTV Europe. Their music has
been played on the radio and Internet worldwide and their interviews
have been heard across the globe. Performing at many clubs, theaters, and festivals.

C.J.
Electric Guitar/Trombone/Vocals

Born and raised in Ithaca, NY, C.J. Glass graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies on guitar from Ithaca College in May 2005. Beginning guitar lessons with Jan Nigro at the age of seven, Glass has since gone on to study with Dr. Robert Keefe, Professors Pablo Cohen and Steve Brown, Benny Goodman’s last guitarist, James Chirillo, and Joey DeFrancesco’s guitarist, Paul Bollenback. He also studies drums with Michael Carvin and bass guitar with Patrick Pfeiffer.
Glass is an accomplished entertainer in the Ithaca and New York City areas,
having shared the stage with artists that span genres from jazz to reggae to
Jewish music, such as: Johnny Russo, members of John Brown’s Body, Djug Django,
Lew Soloff (Blood, Sweat, and Tears), Walter White (The Lincoln Center Jazz
Orchestra), Paul Hanson (Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), Neal Miner (Jon Hendricks, Annie Ross), Spike Wilner (Planet Jazz), Reggie Washington (Roy Hargrove), the KMA All-Stars, Dr. Joel Rubin (Brave Old World), Safam, The Klezmatics, Frank London’s Klezmer
Brass All-Stars, Shlomo Katz, and Pey Dalid. During the summer of 2004, C.J.
began his association with Jazz at Lincoln Center, which has put him in contact with such jazz luminaries as Wynton Marsalis and Clark Terry. His senior recital at Ithaca College drew approximately 500 people, from whom Glass received a standing ovation. In the spring of 2008, C.J. performed as a guest artist with the Cornell University Klezmer Ensemble. He has recorded with Pey Dalid for their forthcoming CD, having recently toured with the group in Israel
, Detroit, MI and New Orleans, LA. Currently, in addition to performing with
Pey Dalid, C.J. is co-leading The Adam Ramsay - C.J. Glass Quintet,
which performs regularly in the New York metropolitan area. He is also
pursuing a Master of Arts in Jazz Studies degree from Queens College.

Shauli
Saxophone/Flute

Shauli Einav is a young emerging Jazz saxophonist. He has already performed with
various ensembles on prestigious stages such as the Red Sea Jazz Festival,
The Israel Festival in Jerusalem, The Rochester International Jazz Festival,
Tel-Aviv Intl Jazz Festival, "The Knitting Factory" NYC.
Shauli has been invited to perform with some of today's finest Jazz musicians,
including bassist Omer Avital, pianist Aaron Goldberg, guitarists Bob Sneider
and Frank Gambale, and the late saxophonist Arnie Lawrence, among others,
and has also participated in master-classes given by Dave Liebman,
Harry Allen, Matt Wilson, Max Roach, Danilo Perez, and Avishai Cohen.
Shauli released his debut CD "Home Seek" in February 2008 and was featured in WXXI NPR station in Rochester, also in Israel's national broadcast station "Kol Hamusika", Barcelona Jazz Radio & 90.1 Jazz Station of Rochester. Shortly after earning a B.M degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Shauli relocated to the United States, where he just graduated with Master's degree at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, in Rochester NY.
At Eastman, Shauli held an assistant teaching position directing the ESM Non-Jazz
Majors Jazz Ensemble. He was nominated for the T.A Prize 2008. Prior to his
arrival to the states, Shauli had also taught master-classes in various
conservatories throughout Israel. Though deeply rooted in be-bop and post-bop,
he aims to take Jazz in new directions by combining the musical jargon of his
Mediterranean Israeli heritage with the traditional western jazz standard form.

Today, in addition to playing with Pey Dalid, Shauli resides in NYC and continues
to write his own music and arrange for large jazz ensembles.
