Alice Stuart (not Stewart her name was first misspelled on Frank Zappa's Freak Out album) has been in the music business since 1964. She has been a folkie, a rocker, and a blues woman.

Her latest CD is called Freedom and her latest band is called The Formerlys. Both say a lot about Alice Stuart!

She has a Lifetime Achievement award and is in the Washington Blues Society's Hall of Fame. She was "buds" Jerry Garcia and opened for Van Morrison, back in the days. These days are Alice's three trip out of the shadows and she is casting her own at last.
