Creative Loafing says it all:
"No fancy tricks here. Lassiter's nicely written pop
songs jump out of the boombox toned with guitars, piano touches and a
tightly woven rhythm section. The North Carolinian writes
acoustically-tinged songs the old-fashioned way – wrapped in melody,
stuffed with rhythm and sung with sweet vocals and chorus." (Shukla)
Mark has been working with band members from Collective Soul, Foo Fighters, The Wallflowers, Blind Melon, and Phil Collins. His vocals have been called "sweet" and "smooth and flowing" by critics. His music is meant to be a palatable concoction of melody and rhythm.

My debut LP, "Living Past" was released in July 2009. It is selling around the world and was voted in the Top 20 Indie Albums of 2009 by DJ Zack Daggy at www.mothpod.com. I am the Rock Dentist. I am a general dentist by day, rocker by night!
I am a singer/songwriter from North Carolina. I have worked with members of Foo Fighters, Blind Melon, The Posies, James Taylor Band, Toto, and Collective Soul. I am a voting member of the Grammy organization NARAS. One of my songs, Living Past, was featured in the Grammy Museum in LA as a part of a series on session players about Rami Jaffee. Rami is the keyboardist for Foo Fighters and, formerly, The Wallflowers.
I have recently started promotion for a single called "One More Second." This track was produced and played on by producer/ multi-instrumentalist Clayton Worbeck of Ministry and Stayte.

Hello and welcome to the IAC. Very nice orchestration. Really like the drum line. Very well executed and articulated vocals. The strings add an interesting texture. I like this tune. Good job! Give me more? Peace, love and light, Kid Ric

This is a KILLER song, with a beautiful cello line by Melanie Freeman of the Charlotte Symphony. It was produced by veteran engineer and producer Blake Eiseman of www.binksound.com in Atlanta. The song has been accepted for placement in an upcoming indy film in it's entirety as an instrumental and with the vocals as the closing track!
Download it at only $.60 Thanks and I love you, Mark
