Influences Jon Jones and the Beatniks Movement are mainly inspired by three great bands. First and for most, 80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Stooges and last but not least Joy Division. This wierd combination gives off an inspiring explosion of good old Rock and Roll.

Four members of Jon Jones and the Beatniks Movement came together to in the summer of 2005 in a friends garden shed with a desire to make music that was far from the usual ""telecaster twang"" of todays rock scene. Since that day our boy's have worked hard and played even harder and now joined talented guitarist Giles Stocks, 'Jon Jones' are creating a sound that you can't quite put your finger on and a highly entertaining live show. A tight and extreamly inventive rythem section (Bob on drums, Stefan on bass) form the backbone to a band fronted by a screaming long haired lout (Irish Joe), and followed on guitar by buzzer extraordinaire, Matt. With enough passion, drive and determination to kill an elephant, Jon Jones and the Beatniks Movement are slowly but surely climbing their way to recognition and raising more than a few eyebrows.
