Mantra is a three piece band who likes bands like Nirvana, Seether and Sliverchair. James Farley plays esp viper guitars through a marshall amp. Josh Spittles plays an ibanez sgdr bass through an aston amp. Isaac Naden plays pearl drums with sabian cymbals. Mantra started out as two people - James Farley and Isaac Naden trying to form a band later finding bass player Josh Spittles at the time Isaac Naden played the guitar not the drums and Mantra were looking for a drummer at this point the band did not have a name but after a while they called the band Sausage-Meat the name did not stick. Looking for a new name the band came up with the name Half A Dozen Eggs and through-out the days of Half A Dozen Eggs they picked up a 2nd guitar player by the name of Ben Parmer. Although he is no longer in the band, Mantra is still in touch with him. Later the band came up with the name Mantra and now happy with the name they are all so happy with the way the band is and that is just a short history of the band.
