HI8US is a 5-piece metal band based out of Capac in the thumb of Michigan dedicated to the manufacturing of metal for the soul! HI8US strives to bring real metal to the public through heavy, harmonized, and melodic guitar riffs coupled with thunderous double bass, intricate lead guitar, blistering solos, & highly aggressive vocals. HI8US pays tribute to such influences as Mastodon, Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Meshuggah, & Megadeth, etc. To date, HI8US has played innumerable shows and opened for such national acts as Gojira, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Sanctity, Mushroomhead, Dope, Sponge, Otep, Straight Line Stitch, The Destro, The Autumn Offering, GWAR, and many more.

In 2008 HI8US signed with the independent label Pain & Sorrow Records, and went on an east coast tour in October. When we returned home, we had a splitting in the band. We currently have our original guitar player back (Mike Hagel), and new lead guitar player (Dan), and new drummer, (Jason). Chaca and Greg stayed in it for the long haul and we are now on a mission.
