The Black Umbrellas are a concept band (if you're from the 70's) or a Virtual Band (from the 90's.) There are no stages where they play, no round of drinks after recording, no witty banter between takes. That's because all 3 member live in different parts of the country. Now you would think that this handicap of physical location would stop these guys...hell no! Good friends and diehard creators that they are, each Black Umbrella performs his part, which is then digitally transmitted and added to the whole. This unique method of working allows each member the time to be truly creative and record without the pressures of other bored, hungry, or antsy colleuges. The finished product, molded with loving hands by each of the band's creators, was a baby born of 3 unique talents. We named it Pedestrian Music Volume 1. It was a toe-headed butterball, a little wet around the ears, but our baby nonetheless.
